Tisco Company applied for a patent with publication number CN119553049A

On March 4, 2025, Tisco Co successfully applied for a patent entitled “A method for controlling the microstructure of large-size initial rolling billets of high-rare earth ferrite stainless steel”, with application publication number CN119553049A and application date October 21, 2024.

Patent content

This invention discloses a control method for the microstructure of a large-size rough-rolled billet of high-rare-earth ferrite stainless steel, including: die casting process design: molten steel superheat 45-60°C, ingot casting speed 180-220mm/min, cap-mouth casting time ≥6min, cap-mouth steel liquid complete solidification time ≥60min; roughing process design: the steel ingot is heated to 1150-1200°C in the furnace and kept warm for 2-3h.

Roughing: In the first stage, the deformation of a single pass is less than 5%, and 6-8 passes are rolled;
In the second stage, the deformation of a single pass is more than 10%, and 4-6 passes are rolled, and the temperature is controlled at more than 850°C;
In the third stage, roughing is rolled to the target size through a small deformation, and the rough-rolled billet temperature is controlled at 750-800°C;
Annealing process design: annealing temperature 600-650°C, keep warm for 2-4h, cool with the furnace to less than 150°C, and then air-cool out of the furnace. The microstructure of the large-size rough rolled billet of high rare earth ferrite stainless steel manufactured by the present invention is equiaxed crystal, the grain size is ≥00 level, the center is loose ≤0.5 level, and there are no cracks on the surface and edge, so as to realize large-scale industrial production.
