Peru launches anti-dumping investigation on stainless steel sinks from China
On January 11, 2025, the Dumping, Subsidies and Elimination of Non-Tariff Barriers to Trade Commission of the National Competition and Intellectual Property Protection Bureau of Peru published Announcement No. 108-2024/CDB-INDECOPI in the official daily newspaper El Peruano, stating that at the request of Peruvian manufacturer Manufactura de Metales y Aluminio Record S.A., an anti-dumping investigation was launched on stainless steel sinks (Spanish: lavaderos de acero inoxidable) originating from China.
This case’s dumping investigation period is from July 2023 to June 2024, and the injury investigation period is from January 2021 to June 2024.
Customer evaluation
The Peruvian tax numbers of the products involved are 7324.10.00.00, 7324.29.00.00 and 7324.90.00.00. The announcement will take effect from the date of publication.
